FMCiC Regional Gatherings are all bout connecting! Our intention is to see Free Methodist leader and lay people meeting together as a movement for both an “informative” and “formative” gathering. We hope to see you there!
WHERE: Wesley Chapel, 2385 Warden Ave, Scarborough, ON WHEN: Saturday April 14th 9am-3pm WHO’S INVITED?: EVERYONE! (BMCC will take a van or two and travel together.)
Join The Blue Mountains Ministerial Association on Good Friday as we gather with all of the community churches in Thornbury for ‘The Walk of the Cross’. Each church will tell a 15 minute portion of the passion narrative before ending with refreshments and a light lunch at St. George’s.
We will gather at First Baptist at 10am, then carry the cross to Grace United, then Blue Mountain Community, then St. Paul’s Presbyterian and finally St. George’s Anglican.
Join us this week for the season of Lent, a reminder that our times of loss can lead us to renewal and freedom. We won’t make you talk, or get out of your seat, or do anything uncomfortable. Just sit, listen and open yourself up to the voice of the Spirit as we worship together.
Join us on Sunday as we talk about being “Created for Connection”.
Our small group leaders are faithfully preparing to lead you well and give you opportunities to connect. You will hear from each leader on Sunday morning and have a chance to sign up for a group that will run the 6 weeks leading up to Easter. Here are the group titles: “The Women of Easter”, “A Tour the Holy Land”, “Silence and Contemplation” and “Bondage Breaker”.
Remember to sign up for the free Christmas Day Banquet by calling the church at 519-599-5570. Everyone is welcome.
And if you can’t come for the meal, perhaps you would like to donate some goodies or squares to share with those who are able attend. Also, if you’re able to volunteer that would be great as well! Please let the church know.
For worship this Sunday we welcome Events For Life, who will sing for us with Brian Miessner. Also, Mike Hutchings will bring a children’s lesson and Erika will tell us Elizabeth’s story. It’s all about God’s peace. Advent, week 2.
